The pyramids And the Sphinx of Giza

The pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, Mycerinus were reckoned by the Greeks to be one of the seven wonders of the world. A single Pyramid is built with 2.300.000 blocks, each weighing an average of two and a half tones. In front of the pyramids lies the Sphinx, or Abu Al – Hol in Arabic. Carved out of the single block of a lion and the head of a king has mesmerized millions of visitors.

The Egyptian Museum is the most important depositary of Egyptian antiques anywhere in the world. It features artifacts from the pharaonic and Greco- Roman periods, including the celebrated mummies of ancient Egypt's Kings and Tutankhamon's treasures.

The Citadel

The Citadel dominates Cairo's skyline, and was the dense center of the city and Egypt for almost 700 years. The old fortress was built by Salah El Din Al Ayoubi, founder of the Ayoubbid dynasty (1171 to 1250).

Memphis & Sakkara

Memphis served as the capital of upper and Lower Egypt 5000 years ago during the first Dynasty. Menes, the first Pharaoh of this dynasty built a great white-walled palace and the Temple of Path there.

Khan Al Khalili Bazaar

The famous Cairo Bazaar dating back to the 14^th century, where you can find an enormous variety of handmade goods, souvenirs, copper, brassware, glassware, carpets, kilims, gold, silver, leather, boxes, clothes and specie that create a delicious Aladdin's cave of saleable treasures.

Cairo Tower

It is the 87 – meters high Cairo Tower built in 1961. There is a restaurant at the top and a viewing platform from which a fabulous panorama of Cairo is possible on a clear day.
